Description
Early adapters of the new progressive sound that had mutated from 60s psychedelia, UK band Titus Groan released a single and a self titled album in 1971 for Dawn Records before splitting up later that year. Hindsight being a wonderful thing, the album has since been sighted as a classic moment in the development of prog-rock, making those scarce copies of the album that exist highly sought after by collectors. A CD reissue appeared in the late 80s but this is the first vinyl reissue weve seen of this lost classic. Lengthy tracks mix with flutes, seering guitars, beatlesque harmonies and a psych edge. Comes in g/f sleeve as the original LP.
Trivial fact: The bands drummer ended up in The Tourists in the late 70s, group that spawned The Eurythmics!
