Description
Pleased To Meet Me is the fifth studio album by the American rock band The Replacements, was released on Sire in 1987. Their typical hard rocking sound still forms the bulk of the album, but Pleased To Meet Me presents a wider range of musical genres in comparison to its predecessors, going from punk rock to soul and cocktail jazz.
Jim Dickinson, Big Stars 3rd producer, gives the album a colourful, muscular production, with cranking up guitars and even horns that was unheard of on a Replacements record, but still keeps their essence intact. Pleased To Meet Me was the bands first album without founding guitarist Bob Stinson won raves for tracks like Alex Chilton, Skyway and Cant Hardly Wait.
