Each record cover is painstakingly handmade by the artist. Limited to 200 copies worldwide. Little is known about Indiana native Michael Dwayne Adams. We do know that he works for a public access television station. His mother was a hairdresser and a waitress. His father was a deacon and an electrician.

His childhood dentist was an extra in the 1986 film Hoosiers. And, as evidenced in Oscillate Wisely, he has a unique gift for crafting engaging melodies while applying some well-oiled decision-making skills. Not since Lows Secret Name has an album so easily lent itself to being the perfect accompaniment to either having a full-blown existential crisis or simply making out in the backseat at the local drive-in on a rainy night. The wit and candor of Roger Miller and Morrissey the faint-inducing crooning of Roy Orbison and Chris Isaac the ethereal transcendence of Talk Talk and Starflyer 59 the dash-pounding drive of Neu! and The Ramones the pop ingenuity of Badfinger and Big Star they all seem to be present in one way or another on OscillateWisely. And, not unlike the Cocteau Twins Tiny Dynamite EP, these captivating jams are blanketed in rich sonic whirlpools that make you feel as though youve finally mastered the art of lucid dreaming.

Adams played every instrument on Oscillate Wisely (which, by the way, does not include the acoustic guitar, a tool deliberately omitted from this album). Adams also recorded all ten tracks in the back of his house, never too far fromthe people and places that these tunes are all about. Knowing that these songs are all real makes them all the more compelling. Not only do you believe his every word, but you somehow find them to be your words as well.

As with all St. Ives releases, Oscillate Wisely is made in limited edition hand-wrought (by the artist himself) packaging using only salvaged materials.
