Noted for being one of the early progenitors of the progressive metal genre, the Long Island based quintet became renowned for their high-energy, intricate live performances. Moving away from heavy metal riffs and focusing on technical proficiency and precise execution, the bands incredible music capabilities have led them to become undisputedly one of the worlds best progressive metal bands.
Released in 2005 Octavarium was the bands eighth studio album, peaking in the top 5 of the Italian, Swedish & Finnish charts. The album was the final record to ever be made in the famous NYC studio The Hit Factory and boasts a 24 minute title track.
