Originally released in 1977, Out of the Blue stands as Electric Light Orchestra’s most ambitious and celebrated work—an epic double album that redefined what symphonic rock could be. Written and produced entirely by Jeff Lynne during a prolific burst of creativity, the album delivered some of ELO’s most enduring songs, including “Turn to Stone,” “Sweet Talkin’ Woman,” “Wild West Hero,” and the dazzling four-part “Concerto for a Rainy Day,” which culminates in the chart-topping hit “Mr. Blue Sky.”

From its striking spaceship-themed artwork to its soaring melodies, “Out of the Blue” it remains a landmark album: a technicolor vision of symphonic pop grandeur that still sounds like the future.

Now presented in a strictly limited edition 2LP reissue on red & yellow vinyl.
