The FA40 AIS Receiver provides multiple ports for simple connection to NavNet, AIS-capable Radar or Chart Plotter. AIS is a critical enhancement in congested waterways, or during periods of limited visibility or heavy seas. Information such as vessel name and call sign, position, course, and speed are graphically presented, making the monitoring of vessel traffic easy. Because it does not require line of sight to function, AIS-equipped vessels can be seen on your electronics before they can be seen on the water. The FA40 is an AIS receiver only. It works with nearly any VHF antenna, making installation simple.
