Description
Dreamland is Glass Animals’ third studio album, and their most personal to date. Led by frontman and producer Dave Bayley, the record plays out like a nostalgic memoir: fragmented, colourful, and emotionally open. Bayley draws on his own memories and experiences, laying everything on the table with a clarity the band hadn’t shown before.
There’s joy, confusion, longing, and real vulnerability here, shaped in part by the shock of drummer Joe Seaward’s life-threatening cycling accident in 2018, a moment that nearly brought everything to a halt. Musically, Dreamland blends Glass Animals’ trademark groove with warmer pop instincts and hazy electronics, creating something intimate but expansive. It’s a deeply human album, reflective and bold, that shows the band growing without losing their identity.
