Leftovers, out May 1, is a deeply personal meditation on memory; the moments, emotions, and experiences that linger long after theyve passed. Conceived as a collection of lifes emotional fragments, the album connects past and present through raw, unfiltered performance.
The albums title serves as its thematic anchor. Sometimes, a scent or a sight will drum up a memory of the past, Guirioli elaborates. Those memories bring you back to the moment, connecting the past to the present. Im referring to them as Leftovers. These songs reflect my life experiences, and Ive collected them together into a concept. From the cyclical, thought-lost atmosphere of opener Reverie to the impassioned Italian fire of Dolce Vita, and the poignant finale Fragile, Leftovers balances expressive virtuosity with stark emotional vulnerability.
