Description
Little Joy was the project from everyone’s favourite Stroke Fab Moretti, LA musician Binki Shapiro and Rodrigo Amarante who played on Devendra Banhart’s Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon album alongside having his own band Los Hermanos. Their sole album was originally released in 2008. It’s a tastefully executed cocktail of calypso-garage-folk that’s reminiscent of both trashy lounge bars and tropical coast lines. Standout tracks are the scratchy and glorious sunshine pop of No Ones Better Sake, and the heart breaking acoustic number With Strangers which sounds like it was taken direct from a 40’s acetate.
