Sailguard is a split plastic wheel which is clipped onto shrouds and is snapped closed and locked to ensure the wheel remains in placeSail Guard is designed to directly fit wires of 6mm and can be drilled out to fit 7mm to 9mm The first Sailguard should be placed some way in front of the forward lifeline stanchion, the next one placed just ahead of it and so on using as many as you need for the size of the vessel.
The plastic cord that holds the locking device should NOT be removed
On a bigger boat these guards can be taped together to increase the contact area against the sail for more protection.
The Sailguard is made of a white UV stabilized plastic and is almost unbreakable
