On the verge of landing a major label deal for the first time in his career following a resurgence of interest in his works, American jazz guitarist Sonny Sharrock died suddenly in 1994 in his early fifties. His myth originated twenty-five years before with his 1969 debut album ‘Black Woman’, an avant-garde jazz fireball featuring the vocals of his then-wife Linda Sharrock.
