Last Shop Standing is a documentary charting the rise, fall and rebirth of the UK independent record shops. It is a celebration of the unique spirit of comradeship and entrepreneurial ingenuity that has enabled so many shops to keep operating against the backdrop of massive changes in the music industry. It is a film full of pathos and humour mingled with hope and love for an iconic scene in UK music culture. It features over 20 unique independent record shops from across the UK, industry experts as well as many music celebrities including Norman Cook, Billy Bragg, Johnny Marr, Richard Hawley, Nerina Pallot and Paul Weller. It also features a great soundtrack from many independent bands.
