Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. For about 5 decades Alice Cooper has been and still is one of the best known rock stars worldwide. With songs like Schools Out, Poison or No More Mr. Nice Guy he created classics that will remain for years. With his stage shows that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors he is considered to be the godfather of shock rock and (in both the original Alice Cooper band and as a solo artist) has rattled the cages and continues to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that hes best known for. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee is a living legend and one of the most appreciated and inspiring rock stars of all time with more than 15 million sold records. His current album Paranormal is a worldwide chart success. The album, his first in six years, not only conquered #4 in the German and Australian official album charts, #6 in the UK and in Sweden but also reached the highest chart positions for the artist in several decades. Despite a long-spanning career of several decades, Alice Cooper is less than ready to hang up his hat and to slow down. Instead, we can look back on a spectacular show at Wacken 2017 and is currently still engaging on a massive world tour titled Spend The Night With Alice Cooper.

The single The Sound Of A shows the renowned shock rocker in a completely new light with the Sound Of A, meaning the sound of Alice, displaying a very interesting sound. With a slightly psychedelic and mellow atmosphere, partly created by organ and percussion sounds, the song leaves the listener with a mellow even spacey feeling. Despite the self-referential lyrics, it becomes apparent that with this song Alice Cooper explores new musical horizons while staying true to the essence of what makes him successful. The single is going to be released right in time for the legends 70th birthday. In addition to the title track, The Sound of A, the single also includes four never before released tracks that were recorded during a show in Columbus in 2016 with the current band.
