Originally released in 1982, They Could Have Been Bigger Than The Beatles was the influential bands third album. A collection of singles, outtakes and unreleased tracks that was intended to mark the bands breakup, it features David Hockneys Diary and The Boy In The Paisley Shirt along with renditions of The Creations Painter Man and Making Time. With the formidable Daniel Treacy at its core, Television Personalities remain one of new waves longest serving and seminal artists with a career spanning over three decades. The indie visionaries directly influenced virtually every major pop uprising of the period including artists as diverse as The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pavement and Creations Alan McGee. They Could Have Been Bigger Than The Beatles is reissued for Record Store Day 2017 on 12 black and white marble vinyl alongside Mummy Your Not Watching Me, And Dont The Kids Just Love It and The Painted Word.
